Game 1: Wigmore Youth 3 – Oak Athletic 2

The first half belonged to Oak who twice found the back of the net and entered the half time break with a 2-0 advantage.

Wigmore started to pass the ball better in the second half and soon got back into the game. Ross Wilkins received a ball and broke into the box to finish from close range. They continued to press forward and were on level terms when Ross Wilkins broke down the right rounded the keeper and slotted home from the angle. With 2 minutes remaining striker James Perrier fired a shot under the keeper to complete the comeback and secure 3 points.

Game 2: Wigmore Youth 5 – Oak Athletic 0

Wigmore soon stamped their authority on the game taking a 2-0 half time lead thanks to goals from Morgan Ashenden and in form Ronan Luckhurst.

Oak rallied in the second half but were unable to de-rail the Wigmore express. Marksman Morgan Ashenden added 2 further fine goals to complete a great hatrick and man of the match Branden Walsh was rewarded for his hard work with a goal from close range. Oak defended gallantly to prevent conceding further goals and deserve credit for the spirit they showed throughout.
